There are two Post Offices in the town. The main Post Office is located in the town centre and a small Sub-Post Office at Herston, near the cottage.

Swanage has a wide range of tourist attractions, The Steam Railway, Durlston Country Park, Victorian Pier, Public swimming pools, Tennis courts, Indoor & Outdoor bowling greens and between Swanage and Studland is a large golf course. 

Monkey World, Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door, Shell Bay and Studland are not far from Swanage and are well worth a visit.

The area has many miles of footpaths and bridleways making it the ideal place for walkers, cyclists and horse riders to explore.
